This modular airport project stands out for its fast construction, is five times faster than traditional construction, and remains possible to set up an airport terminal in a short period of time through its outstanding lightness and strength aluminium modular structure.
The terminal has capacity to attend 200 passenger arrivals and departures. The project takes into consideration the IATA and OACI standards, regarding the capacity and management of luggage and passengers. The distribution is regulated between departures, both arrivals and passenger control, commercial area and restaurants. The building arranges two stories high, with a control tower in the third.
The modular Gaptek System allows an easy reconfiguration of the terminal with the utilization of full existing materials without interrupting the daily operative. The modular structure develops modules up to 2.40m of height and 2.40 m of large, extendable up to 7.20 metres of large. The undulating ceiling with a curved structure and grooved profiles, attaches an upper space as well as a large porch on the building facade.
The modular market in Guinea have a square configuration, with a large central courtyard. There are openings in all facades in door shaped with an upper arch, which allows a modular building adaptation to the surrounding architecture.
It is a colonial style market, developed in its entirety with prefabricated elements both in the structure and in the finishes. The building has 2000m2 constructed, distributed in two stories high, which accommodate a total of 94 commercial establishments for the population of Bissau. The modular system allows to incorporate communications, which consists in three access ladders and ramps to the upper floor. The whole market has a gable roof cover.
This system allows to use local resources for the building assembly through the Gaptek technology based on mechanical joints. Also, it simplifies the assembly process, which allows to be assembled by non-specialized personnel.
